Breakaway (2010)
Breakaway will be an exhilarating game of soccer with robots! Using the kit parts provided we must score as many size 5 soccer balls as we can into our opponents' two nets. To give us more of a challenge, FIRST has placed two 13.5" slanted bumps along the 27x54m field creating only two paths to our opponents' nets: over the bumps, or under a 36" wide by 18" tall tunnel. Near the end of the game, robots can get bonus points if they freely suspend on a 7 foot tower and even more points if other robots suspend off of each other!

Lunacy (2009)
Lunacy was a fun and exciting competition with a strange twist: traction, or lack thereof. Instead of taking place on the standard carpeted floors, FIRST decided to challenge the teams with polyester plastic/regolith floors and mandatory plastic wheels. In addition to the slippery floors, each team had trailers hooked to the ends of their robots that were used as "goals" for opposing teams. Each alliance of 3 teams started with 60 "moon rocks", and as the game commenced both humans and robots were allowed to dump moon rocks into the opponents' trailers. Different moon rocks had different scores. The complexity of the game, while mind-blowingly confusing, added to the excitement.

Overdrive (2008)
Overdrive was 2361's rookie year and after winning two awards (Judges Awards, Rookie Inspiration Award) at the Waterloo Regionals, we would call it a successful year. In the 2007-2008 season FIRST provided a competition that required precision, speed, and smart tactics. Our robot needed to manipulate a metre wide exercise ball over a 6"6 overpass and around a 16x8m field. Points were given when balls crossed certain lines, or went over the overpass.
